Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Nuri Care mobile application and website (together, "Nuri" or the "Service"), operated by Nuri Care Pte. Ltd. ("we", "us", or "our"). Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using Nuri, whether through our app or website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes (for example, by in-app notice or email) and post the revised Terms here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
2. Who can use Nuri
You must be at least 16 years old to create a Nuri account. If you are between 16 and 18, you should have the permission of a parent or guardian before signing up.
Family caregivers acting on behalf of an elder: You may use Nuri to help manage care for another person (such as a parent or grandparent), but only with that person's knowledge and genuine consent. The elder should be aware that a family member is connected to their account and that certain health-related information will be shared with that family member. Nuri is a care-coordination tool, not a covert monitoring platform.
3. The Service
Nuri is a personal care-coordination application designed to help older adults manage their medications, appointments, wellbeing, and health providers, and to keep trusted family members appropriately informed.
The Service is pre-launch. Features evolve continuously: some capabilities shown on our website are in development or rolling out gradually. We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue any feature at any time. Where a feature is not yet live we will label it clearly ("coming soon").
We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Nuri for your own care-coordination purposes in accordance with these Terms.
4. Your account & responsibilities
- Accurate information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep it up to date. Providing false information (including a false age or identity) may result in account suspension.
- Keep credentials safe. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@nuricare.co if you suspect any unauthorised access.
- One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be shared with or transferred to others.
- Device security. You are responsible for securing the device(s) on which Nuri is installed, including enabling screen locks where appropriate.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Nuri for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Use Nuri to monitor or surveil any person without their explicit, informed consent, including an elder or any other individual.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, other user accounts, or our backend systems.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the application.
- Introduce malware, spam, or any other harmful code or content.
- Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service.
- Resell, sublicence, or commercially exploit the Service without our prior written consent.
Nuri is a care tool. The elder whose care is being coordinated always retains the right to withdraw consent and request disconnection from any family caregiver account. We will honour reasonable disconnection requests promptly.
6. Medical disclaimer
Nuri is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
Nuri is a personal care-coordination and reminder tool. It is not a registered medical device, does not diagnose or treat any medical condition, and does not constitute medical, clinical, or pharmaceutical advice of any kind.
Medication reminders and drug-interaction checks in Nuri are helpful aids intended to support, not replace, the guidance of a qualified doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare professional. Always consult a qualified professional before making any decision about medications or treatment.
In a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately (e.g. 995 in Singapore, 999 in the UK, 911 in the US). Do not rely on Nuri in an emergency.
7. Subscriptions & payments
Nuri is currently available free of charge as a pre-launch product. Paid plans are not yet live.
Before we introduce any paid features or subscriptions, we will update these Terms with full details of pricing, billing cycles, free trials, cancellation rights, and refund policy, and notify you in advance. You will not be charged without your explicit prior consent.
8. Intellectual property
The Nuri application, website, brand (including the name "Nuri", the Nuri mark, and all associated visual identity), and all underlying software, designs, and content created by us are owned by Nuri Care Pte. Ltd. or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Your content. You retain ownership of any personal information, health records, notes, and other content you upload to Nuri ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your User Content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data.
You may not use the Nuri name, logo, or brand without our prior written permission.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
Service provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nuri is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including, but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. The Service is pre-launch software and may contain bugs or experience downtime without notice.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nuri Care Pte. Ltd. and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of health outcomes, or personal injury, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (for example, liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence).
10. Termination
By you. You may stop using Nuri and delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By us. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if required to do so by law. We will endeavour to give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data before permanent account deletion wherever practical.
Sections 6, 8, 9, 11, and 12 of these Terms survive termination.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence give you additional rights that cannot be contractually excluded.
12. Changes to these terms & contact
We may revise these Terms at any time. If we make a material change we will notify you by in-app message or to the email address associated with your account at least 14 days before the change takes effect (except where a shorter notice period is required by law). The current version of the Terms is always available at nuricare.co/terms.
